 Let me ask you a question...do you know somebody Houston? Do you know a graphic designer, a boutique owner, personal trainer, video creator, photographer for any occasion, a CPA, a author, mentor...do you know a group of giving women, with a plethora of knowledge to help you take on any task? Well, if you don't then you need, I Know Somebody Houston! This group was created by Elizabeth Pudwell. Elizabeth just wanted a place where women could get the resources they needed for any time in their lives and to meet/network with other women! I say its just what we need, to support, empower, show up for each other and ourselves.  I think the most magical part of it, is we get to meet other beautiful, talented, intelligent women showing up sharing their light. You never know who you may meet or what you may learn at the meet ups. Or who you may click with and share your passions! Or find a passion!

 There are forums and so much information on the website. You can attend any events you wish!  If you are a business owner, like myself then this information is so vital. Elizabeth is an amazing voice in the community and shares her light with all she comes in contact with. I gurantee you will not regret sharing and support with I Know Somebody Houston.

Thinking Girl~ Boutique

  Happy Monday! 

   Rise and shine!! So Friday lastweek, I met some really great women at Catherine Basu's Book launch, Superwomen Secrets Revealed. If you have not had a chance to read it or buy it, do yourself  a favor and get it!!

  The venue for this lovely event was the Thinking Girls Boutique. Which I think is a brilliant idea! Its a place where you find one of a kind items, learn and be apart of a community that gives back. As Alicia the owner says, You meet, shop and learn! Its an enchanting boutique filled with knowledge, intriguing items from all over the world. So you know you are buying a one of a kind, instead of the same stuff you find in department stores. Alicia, herself travels to different parts of the world and hand picks these items/pieces to share with us! Her boutique has jewelry, art, books, clothing, sculptures and so much more. Its a very glamorous, eclectic boutique where you can also take a class to stay up on new trends, or if you are an entrepreneur you can enhance your marketing skills, or create videos, take pictures or network. I can't tell you how much I love this idea! Alicia you are brilliant and I hope every woman in Houston visits your shop and gets as much joy as I did from it! I know they will, especially if you are there to guide them with your passion for helping women and for life itself!

Superwoman Secrets Revealed!!

   Happy Sunday!

   A couple months ago I took some headshots for a friend, Catherine Basu as she wrote her first book! This week, on  St. Patrick's Day, I attended her book launch and  I must share my experience.  
  
     Catherine Basu author of "Superwomen Secrets Revealed," had her book launch here in Houston, Texas. Catherine shared her personal inspiring story on how she became an entrepreneur, author and fitness coach! The way she tied it into St. Patrick's Day was clever! The life changing pivot points in her life, her journey, her "lucky times" that resulted in what was meant for her. Sometimes things come up in life that disguise themselves like a giant obstacle which really are prepping you for something greater in life! Awe...eye opening!

  At times when you felt things aren't going well, such as  getting fired, getting a flat tire, some uncontrollable reason you show up late to an event, those are the times the universe is pivoting you in another direction. As I truly believe the Universe, God, Creator, The Divine whatever name you use... is showing you another way. Because we are so conditioned and we are in a state of worry we don't see it. But when it does show up and you realize it...its like a light shining in the dark. Life changing!

Gratitude

   On this Internationals Women's Day...I feel gratitude. 

 Gratitude for where I am. 
 For who I am. 
  
 I am a photographer. A mother. A daughter. A sister. A niece. A granddaughter and a Best Friend. In which I am grateful for all. They have made me who I am and who I want to become. My best mentors, my best teachers, my best friends. Whom inspire me everyday to become the best version of myself to give of myself. They share their light so willingly, so lovingly and ever so bright. 

I am grateful for the space in which I can share this...as I know is some parts of the world, women cannot share anything. The parts of them that would probably save so many from poverty, shame, guilt, abandonment, violence and being unloved.

Share your light women, rise above. We came here at this time, not any other time. Now is our time. You know who you are. Step forward graciously, with bravery and faith. Spread your truth, your knowledge and your words.
  
 Where gratitude is,compassion lives, hope lives and, there is love. 

       So my prayer today is every woman feel love, compassion, hope and inspiration. That everyone she comes in contact will show her this. If she even has to find it within herself...I pray she will. 

   

 

 

2017 new make up and hair trends...that I actually like!

  Here are just a few of 2017 new make up trends and hair trends! 

  I love that these are coming back this year because I would actually wear these and I did at some point! 

  Moussy hair...I know moussy is not a word! But in this case it is! 

 Yes...using mousse to get that beachy wavy look is back. You can also use mousse on your hair prior to curly it to hold the curl longer. Its works! See below, and note these are not my images.

Next, straight as a board hair! I really don't have to straighten my hair, as its really straight anyway.  Versace and Gigi Hadid brought it back and on the runways! Did it really leave though? Hmm...well anyway...I love straight hair...its so final looking. Classic. Simple. Less is more basically.

   Next up, peach lips and peach blush. Oh yes, love this! Again less is more and makes a statement. It looks natural, pure and simple, yet beautiful!
